GlobalScape is our secure solution for sharing information, managed by the BANES IT department. The software allows Avon Pension Fund and employers to exchange data electronically and securely.
When to use GlobalScape
Use GlobalScape to securely transfer data such as:
- TPR Queries and responses
- Returning scheme documents
- Member forms that can’t be uploaded to i-Connect
GlobalScape is for transferring data, not for storing it. All information on GlobalScape will be deleted every three months.
How to access Globalscape
Visit: The GlobalScape Portal
Used to send/receive sensitive data securely, this portal is managed by the BANES IT department, and only authorised contacts can access it.
The browser you’re using must have JavaScript enabled.
Permissions:
Access is granted once we receive your completed authorised contacts form (LGPS 53).
We will send your login details via email.
Access issues:
If you have forgotten your password or username please click on the forgotten password/username link.
If you are still having issues accessing GlobalSCAPE please contact employer_relations@bathnes.gov.uk.
If you need to add access for new person or remove an existing authorised user, the lead officer would need to complete a new LGPS 53.
Using GlobalScape
Uploading files
- Log In: When you log into GlobalScape, you’ll see the folders you can access.
- Choose a Folder: Navigate to the correct folder where you want to upload your document.
- Upload Methods:
- Drag and Drop: Simply drag your document from your computer into the GlobalScape window.
- Upload Icon: Click the upload icon to browse your folders and select the file you want to upload.
- Confirmation: Once your file uploads successfully, it will appear in the folder, and you’ll receive an email alert confirming the upload
Downloading files
- You will receive an email to advise that there is a new file available to download.
- To download a file, click the file icon next to its name.
- Depending on your browser, the file will be saved to your downloads folder. In Google Chrome, you can find it by clicking the download icon.
- You’ll also get an email alert once the file has been downloaded successfully.
Deleting files
To delete a file, check the box next to the file name and click the delete button.
You can delete multiple files at once by selecting several boxes and then pressing the delete button.
Email alerts
You will receive an email alert whenever a file is uploaded or downloaded.
The email will come from GlobalScape_SFTP@bathnes.gov.uk and will include the file name, who uploaded it, and the upload location.
