  • The employer has the final decision on retirement. 
  • There could be a cost to the employer.

Apply for an estimate of pension benefits

You can apply for an estimate by completing the LGPS 23, Request for an Estimate of Pension Benefits, form and uploading this to the employee’s i-Connect record.

What happens next

Once the estimate has been processed, a letter outlining the pension benefits and any Strain on Fund costs of the retirement, will be sent to the authorised contact for the employer that requested the estimate, this is usually uploaded to GlobalScape.
